Request a return PRIOR to shipping the product back to us.
LEDLightingSurplus.com will accept a monetary refund request for the return of product within 30 days from the date of delivery of the product. No monetary refunds will be given past the 30th day after delivery.
LEDLightingSurplus.com will accept an account credit request for the return of product within 45 days from the date of delivery of the product. No account credit refunds will be given past the 45th day after delivery.
Refunds and credits are approved for functional products only. To seek a warranty exchange for broken or defective products, please view the Warranty Policy.
All returns must be approved and returned with shipping prepaid by customer in original condition, in their original packaging and must be in re-sellable condition. Must be free from scratches and/or defects. Must not have been installed. Must be in the original manufacturer’s box and packaging and be free of writing. Must not be missing pieces. Must not be clearance/liquidations/closeout.
To ensure that the product isn’t damaged in shipping please pack products in boxes (no letter envelopes). Shipping costs are not refundable on returned products.
LEDLightingSurplus.com reserves the right to impose a 15% restocking fee on all returns.
Incorrect items are only valid when the customer ordered a product, but LEDLightingSurplus.com shipped the incorrect product. At our discretion, ONLY in the case of LEDLightingSurplus.com shipping incorrect items, LEDLightingSurplus.com may choose to pre-ship a new product before receiving the returnable product. In this case, we will need a credit card on file. In situations where the returnable product has not been received, the card on file will be charged for the pre-shipped product after 45 days.

Our products are always pre-tested before they leave our facility. So while it is rare, even amazing products like ours can hit the occasional hiccup. Good thing that LEDLightingSurplus.com offers:
5-year Manufacturer’s Warranty on all LED Lights.
Yeah, you read that right. That means virtually NO RISK.
In our experience, most products that are attempted to be declared defective prove in our facility testing to be dysfunctional due to improper installation.
WARNING: Wiring and installation procedures are very complicated and should be attempted by a licensed electrician only. Electrical installation poses serious risks of electric shock which can lead to injury or death.
A copy of the invoice is required for warranty repairs or replacements. As stated above, all LEDs are warrantied for 5 years. If a product is thought to be defective and under warranty, the customer is asked to contact our Customer Excellence Representatives (CERs). With the CER, our customer may be asked to return the declared defective product at the customer’s shipping expense for testing. If the product proves defective, this shipping cost will be credited to the customer, with submission of a receipt.
Warranty is void when products are used in applications for which they are not intended. LEDLightingSurplus.com will not warranty any product that (a) has been subjected to abuse, misuse (including operating any product for more than 14 hours per day or at temperatures greater than 40° C/104° F), neglect, negligence, accident, improper testing, improper wiring or installation, improper storage, improper handling, abnormal physical stress, abnormal environmental conditions, natural disaster, or use contrary to any instruction issued by the manufacturer; or (b) has been reconstructed, repaired, or altered by anyone other than LEDLightingSurplus.com.
Upon facility confirmation that the product is defective and not a product of improper installation or misuse, we will replace the product with the same product at no further cost to the customer. If this product is no longer available, a product that is comparable may be substituted at LEDLightingSurplus.com’s discretion.
If there is no reasonable substitution, a credit will be issued to our customer for the returned defective product plus the shipping cost from the original product that proves defective. This may not be the full amount of the original order, depending on which portion of the original order is confirmed defective. The credit for shipping will be calculated at current FedEx Ground shipping rates, with an amount not to exceed the original shipping cost.
If an immediate replacement product is needed, it must be ordered and paid for as if it were a new order. A credit for the defective may take from 2-4 weeks to be declared acceptable under warranty.
If the product is new, but not able to be confirmed defective, the product may be considered for our Return on Unused Product Policy. Please see that policy (here).
If the product does not meet the standards of that policy, the product may be shipped back to the customer at their expense. LEDLightingSurplus.com reserves the right to impose a 15% administrative fee on all products that are reshipped to the customer in this fashion.

LEDLightingSurplus.com takes our anti-breakage packaging seriously. But if the delivery person decides to play rugby with your LEDs, we’ve got your back.
In order for a damage claim to be successful, LEDLightingSurplus.com must be notified of the damage within one week from date of receipt. This claim must include at least 2 pictures of each damaged product from different angles, so that we may accurately assess damage. At our discretion, we may choose to not ask for damaged, defective, or broken products to be sent back.
LEDLightingSurplus.com will file the shipping damage claim on the customer’s behalf and arrange for replacement at no charge and no shipping cost. The package must be received (not refused under any circumstances), inspected, and immediately reported to LEDLightingSurplus.com. Replacement and refund will be assessed according to the amount of the actual damage.
At our discretion, ONLY in the case of LEDLightingSurplus.com’s shipping partner damaging the product, LEDLightingSurplus.com may choose to pre-ship a new product before receiving the returnable product. In this case, we will need a credit card on file. In situations where the returnable product has not been received, the card on file will be charged for the pre-shipped product after 45 days.

If the total amount of the product for replacement for either damage or defective is less than twenty-five ($25), a refund, rather than a replacement, will be offered to the customer. Shipping small, one-item packages increases the cost of shipping and the chances for damage.
In the case the exact product is no longer available, an account credit for the value of the original purchase price will be provided.
Warranties are only from the original purchase date and don’t reset with the replacement product.
Customer refunds are typically processed within 5 to 7 business days. Refund credits can only be issued to the card used during the original purchase according to U.S. law.
In the event a credit cannot be issued to the original card used for purchase due to lost card, etc, an attempt on our part has to be made at least once and before a company refund check will be sent to the purchaser. The company check process can delay the time taken to receive the refund.
